It sounds like the electronic module inside the distibutor is going bad and needs to be replaced, they don't last forever and will only usually cost about 80 dollars at your local auto zone store. typically it starts out running then a few miles down the road the car stops running with a small back-fire then once the module cools down it starts back up but will soon quit working all together.
It maybe a leak in the intake manifold gasket.
while driving yur car reduces speed then pulls off with speed and backfires what can cause that
If it backfires while you are driving, the intake manifold bolts may be loose or the gasket may need to be replaced. If it backfires when you turn off the ignition, the fuel mixture is a little on the rich side.
If a Kawasaki 650 Prairie backfires and bogs down while driving, this may be due to old battery. It is best to change the battery and clean the filters, too.
PICK UP COIL ON DISTRIBUTER IS CAUSE..................CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT.............
You are losing spark or fuel. I would suspect a faulty fuel pump.
I would start with replacing the fuel filter if you haven't already done so. Then check the fuel pump.
Fuel pump sensor relay
The engine blows. Usually pistons shoot into the engine. In most cases the engine will have to be replaced.
the seat on the exhaust valve is dirty so the valve does not seal it.... not sure how to clean it
It sounds like it might actually be the ignition switch.
still havent figured out the chugging but the instrument panel issue can be fixed by reheating all of the solder points on the back of the cluster again.
