I have a Grand Marquis and shortly after I start the car you hear a sound coming from the the engine side and that is the rear air suspension lifting the car up(the sound is the air being pumped into the airsuspension to lift the car)
There could be many reasons why the 1993 Grand Marquis make noises when the doors lock. The wiring could be off, or the motor could be going out.
No , the last model year for the Mercury Grand Marquis was the 2011 model
If all the air isn't purged from the system, and if the fluid level is low, the pump will continue to make noise. Also, it may be that one of the idler bearings or accessory bearings are causing the noise, and not the steering pump.
My air bags were leaking, I purchased the coil springs for $189.00 from strutmasters.com and found a mechanic to install for $125.00 in southern indiana. Make sure your mechanic knows what he is doing.
I have a 1994 Grand Marquis and the buzzing noise that I hear every once in awhile is the load levelers (rear shock system) filling with air. Maybe this is what you are hearing and it is a coinencedence that it stops when you accelerate My 1994 Grand Marquis does something like that...it's the air intake thing (press the gas pedal, it moves a valve at the end of the overhead cam). That valve can stick open slightly and hum. You may notice the car idles faster when it buzzes. This can be fixed by going over the edge of the valve with fine sand paper.
Inspect the steering components, suspension, and brakes.
You'd need the actual police computer chip to make it work.
You will need to check the bolt pattern and offset. Without those, it will be a matter of test fitting to make sure it clears all suspension and brake componets, as well as wheel wells and turn radius.
Heater core leaking.
There can be several things that will cause your 1994 Jeep grand Cherokee to make a loud clanking noise when you drive it. The most common cause is a bad u-joint.
I have the same car with the same problem.. i have tried to find what it is, but my only explanation is something to do with the suspension. does it make the same noise when you bounce the car up and down?
Could be one of your belts.
