Watch the old television footage of LBJ's speeches; he says it everytime..."...stopping communist aggression."
President Johnson did NOT like the Vietnam War; He didn't like to talk about it, he didn't want to hear about it, and he didn't want "...to send American Boys to fight a war that Asian Boys should be fighting..." to quote one of his televised broadcasts. Johnson wanted to concentrate on HOME MATTERS; primarily his "Great Society." Vietnam angered him so much, he refused to remain President of the United States after his first term expired.
what happen was north Vietnam and South Vietnam were fighting. The u.s helped south vietnam by boming north vietnam later the president of the u.s sign a paper saying that all souldiers in vietnam should go back to the u.s alot of ppl got injured or hurt in that war.............. ps I came from vietnam and cam speak the launged fluetly (-:
While fighting communism in Vietnam may have been a good thing, The United States was also supporting an criminally corrupt regime in South Vietnam whic denyed the people of south Vietnam much of their human rights and freedoms for which the United States claimed to be fighting to give them. It is a sad irony that the Vietnamese people actually had more freedom under the communist government than they did under the American backed South Vietnamese government.

no because kenndy and mcnara intended to pull our observers out by 1965 Johnson felt that it would be a defeat and increaded our troops.
He Beleaved that the President should be in charge, becasue they wanted to get things done faster
Hawks had the philosophy that if you go into a war, you go all out the way World War II was fought. They objected to the way Johnson was fighting the war, and wanted a massive bombing attack that could end the war immediately. They believed a war should be fought to win not lose, and that Johnsonâ??s cautious tactics were taking them down the road to defeat.
Johnson's war policy was unpopular with many people. Draft age men, in particular, did not think the war necessary and opposed it. Others thought it should be an all-out declared war and critized the limited involvement that Johnson tried at first.
I believe this question should be asked in a language category. It has absolutely nothing to do with keeping fighting fish.
I believe 3 grains of black powder for a start
To be condemned would be to not have fought the cold war at all. Praised, for fighting the cold war, and doing it with bullets (Vietnam) when it had to.
