Odysseus says his name because of his pride. Back then people could curse other people if they knew the name of the person. Till then the Cyclops thought that his name was Nobody. The Cyclops is Poseidon's son. This made Poseidon steer them of course and later wreck his ship.

The cyclops, Polyphemus, welcomes Odysseus and crew into his home (cave). Polyphemus plot was to bring people to his home, feed them, give them a potent wine that cause them to fall asleep and finally he would eat them. Oydsseus saw the bones lying about when they entered and became uneasy. After the crew wined and dined they fell asleep (except Odysseus) and Polyphemus put his plan into effect, but Odysseus woke the others in an attempt to escape only to be stopped by the large door blocking the entrance. Polyphemus, seeing the his dinner was fleeing started to grab and eat them. Odysseus used rope to trip the cyclops and distract him. While the cyclops was distracted Odysseus and his remaining crew took a large branch from the nearby fire and got Polyphemus to back into a wall and they made him drink his own tainted wine. They grabbed the red-hot branch and rammed him in his only eye with it destroying his sight.Prior to this Odysseus had told him (Polyphemus) that his name was 'Nobody'. As the crew are running to the ship Polyphemus begins to call out the his fellow giants but no one bothers with him because he claims 'Nobody' blinded him. He begins to hurl boulders at the ship and gives up only to pray to his father, Poseidon, who curses the rest of Odysseus' voyage.

The Cyclopes believe that Polyphemus' distress is caused by the pain and heartbreak he experiences after being wounded by Odysseus and losing his sight. This physical and emotional trauma fuels his anger and desire for revenge.

They were fated to die by Odysseus' hand. They had committed an unforgivable offense, and might cause trouble if they were allowed to live. Perhaps not all of them deserved to die, but it was simpler and cleaner to kill them all.
Odysseus's pride often leads him to underestimate his enemies and take unnecessary risks, which prolongs his journey home from the Trojan War. His pride also contributes to his arrogance and tendency to make hasty decisions, resulting in conflicts with both gods and mortals along the way. Ultimately, his pride delays his return to Ithaca and causes suffering for himself and those close to him.
Odysseus's pride often leads him to underestimate his opponents or take unnecessary risks. This weakness can cause him to make impulsive decisions that put himself and his crew in danger. Ultimately, his pride makes it challenging for him to seek help or guidance from others when he needs it.
If only the HIGH SPEED is giving trouble but not the other speeds, check the HIGH SPEED relay mounted on the firewall facing the engine on the passenger side, they burn out easily If all speeds are giving trouble could be the power source or the blower motor
