Start with the easy stuff. Are you using 5w30 oil if you live in a cold place. How long since you changed oil and filter ( older oil is heavier thus harder to pump ) How are your battery and post clean all and corosion. Then check voltage with a DVOM should be around 12.6. Remove one spark plug and check if its it if old replace all of them. At night open the hood and spray water over distributor cap and spark plugs wire , check if you see any electricity jumping this would mean replacement is needed ( having good spark helps ) How long since you changed fuel and air filter ( having plenty of fuel and air reach the engine also helps ) After the easy stuff is checked I would recommend testing the alternator , doing a battery load test , cheking the oil pump , the cold start injector/valve , vacuum leak etc... i had the same problem. i have a two door 97 Toyota tercel with auto transmission. it was a fuse for the ful injector. there was an extra one in the black fuse box under the hood. try this
