Actually Wikipedia has many answers, hundreds of millions of them in fact, but they are not presented in a Q&A format like WikiAnswers. You have to be able to effectively search to find the information you are looking for.
However, it is possible that Wikipedia, even after careful searching, does not have the Answer you are looking for. Wikipedia is built through public contributions it suffers from the same problem that all community based content sites experience. If no one adds or edits a specific topic then that topic will not exist or will not improve.
So you are correct, there are lots of questions or topics that are not covered by Wikipedia.
