Could be a very dirty fuel filter.
Try checking your spark plugs & wires. Can also be caused by dirty fuel filter.
the reason it are doing that is because in is ild to low
A vacuum leak (Brake booster).
No, you may have to check your idle. You can change the idle so when you put it into gear it will not die. You must make sure that the engine is warm when you adjust the idle or it may make it hard to start when the engine is cold. When it idles in park or neutral it should sound a little higher than when it it idles in gear or drive or reverse.
good gear
good gear
Park on a transmission is a gear that allows the transmission to idle as if its in neutral while locking the drive train to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
Why does my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, with a 2.4L engine, run rough at idle but runs normally when placed in neutral? I changed the plugs and air filter, but the problem continues.
Sounds like a vacum leak to me.
The proper idle speed for a 2000 Nissan Frontier V6 is between 700 rpmÊand 800 rpmÊin park or neutral. In gear, the idle speed should be between 650 rpm and 700 rpm.
1) reduce throttle to idle speed 2) move gear shifter to Neutral position 3) move gear shifter to Reverse position.
well. whenever you have a low idle, you use first gear to accelerate. if u have a higher idle or throttlebody, you can just start in second gear.
