Why does a 2000 Lanos Daewoo make a humming noise while driving striaght and only turning left?

Usually there is some kind of debree or dirt in the system clogging a valve. The fluid has to in or out of the cylinder. Its either the inlet or return valve not letting the fluid flow freely it is being forced thru usually causing the noise. Try flushing the system or replacing the rack.
I had this problem. Found out it was the Axle Shaft on the drivers side that was going out. After driving for about another month it progressively got worst. I took it to the dealer and it cost about $300 for the replacement.
