To reduce costs on the final price of a car they don't add more gauge than the ones that the average of drivers are use to have. They try to put only the ones that needs attention very urgent., like temperature and fuel level. Some cars in different places of the world don't even have a temperature gauge, only the spedometer and fuel level, all the other information they use lights on the dash.
