I've got this same problem with my 1986 300zx.. I took it to the dealer for repair... This is what they told me.. The Air Flow Regulator, had some rust, which would cause it to not seal correctly.. So, my AIR / FUEL ratio was off balance.. The black smoke was a result of my engine getting too much fuel, and not enough air.. The part cost $500 from the dealership.. And anywhere from $200-$450 from other source...
to make a diesel blow black smoke is usually done by turning up the fuel pump.all this accomplishes is to much fuel and the black smoke created is mostly un burnt fuel that is being wasted
It seems like you're running too rich of a mixture - too much fuel, and not enough air.
Black smoke is : too much fuel and not enough air, a faulty injector (s). Take out the injectors and have them tested before you do engine damage.
No. Black smoke is created when your truck is running Rich meaning that you are getting to much fuel the black smoke is just simply unburned fuel
You are using too much fuel, thus the black smoke .... try a short highway drive... if it doesn't clear, then its garage time to have the system reset. did you foul out the spark plugs? and how did you clean the fuel injectors? it is normal to expeirince smoke and it should clear soon. just drive for about two or three miles.
Black smoke is a symptom of an overly rich fuel/air mixture. In other words too much fuel is being mixed with not enough air.

You are running too rich. the mixture of fuel and air has too much fuel in it,
Black smoke usually indicates too much fuel in the air fuel mixture. A check of computer codes may show a bad sensor that is confusing the system.
Black smoke means the engine consumes too much gas - possible problem with fuel injection.
If the smoke is black it could be caused by a faulty fuel pressure regulator which could be causing the engine to get too much fuel.
