Why does a car leak oil only immediately after it is shut off?
If at the back of the oil pan it is the rear main bearing seal - fairly expensive & always leaks after car is shut off. Otherwise basic reason is all oil in engine runns down to lowest point the oil pan
If it it shutting off because of the hissing, it is likely moisture getting at electronic parts and shorting them. The hissing would be caused by cold water contacting hot engine parts. If the hissing is only heard after YOU shut off the car, it is likely a small leak in a vacuum hose. These are usually easily fixed.

Did you mean shut off? My Grand Caravan will turn on and them immediately shut off when I use a copied key. I believe the key has an electronic signal as part of an anti theft system so a copied key only opens the door. It can start, but once the car senses the key does not have the electronic code, it shuts off.
You should not smell gas around your car at any time, running or not. The fuel storage and delivery system of modern day cars is completely sealed including the gas cap. Question is should you be driving a car with an exhaust leak? Get this repaired ASAP. It is very dangerous to drive a vehicle with an exhaust leak. 02 Elantra wrecked head on collision repaired and immediately afterwards the main baring in the engine failed and now needs engine replaced Had no problems what so ever before the wreck Any thoughts?
Considering it is leaking gas, the last thing you want it to do is start. It starts leaking gas when you turn it on because you have a leak in the fuel lines, and the electric pump starts and runs for a few seconds as soon as the ignition switch is turned on. It will automatically shut off if the car does not start. You must find the leak or seek professional help.
