Why does a car stop when it comes to a complete stop it is a 2001 Nissan maxima. Ive had an oil change and everything in the past month.?

I had an 1988 Chevy Cavalier once, and it did the same thing. Turns out, it had a weak engine mount. During braking, the engine would move just enough to cause the plug between the ECM and the wiring harness to separate slightly, causing a short.
