The shape / depth of the dish might not be practical. The dish might be dirty (mine is disgusting) or smell. Try a different dish. Try making sure the dish can't move around too much. Does the dish move around too much...? If you are buying a new bowl its better to get a metal or ceramic bowl rather than a plastic one.

If there's nothing wrong with the dish then your dog probably has some personal reason / gripe with the dish. Try making it part of training, get the dog to sit, put a treat in the bowl, make the dog wait and then let the dog collect the treat from the bowl. He/she should soon get over it...

I think it might be because they may not like where u have the bowl or they just like to go over there and eat.
