The shape / depth of the dish might not be practical. The dish might be dirty (mine is disgusting) or smell. Try a different dish. Try making sure the dish can't move around too much. Does the dish move around too much...? If you are buying a new bowl its better to get a metal or ceramic bowl rather than a plastic one.
If there's nothing wrong with the dish then your dog probably has some personal reason / gripe with the dish. Try making it part of training, get the dog to sit, put a treat in the bowl, make the dog wait and then let the dog collect the treat from the bowl. He/she should soon get over it...
I think it might be because they may not like where u have the bowl or they just like to go over there and eat.
You can give your dog away for a few days with an expert dog trainer.Remember if your dog eats to much human food he/she can get bloated ...........................that's not good.

Dog food.
People in many countries place their plates or bowls on the ground when eating, so that they do not need to use a table. Others use the ground to cook food (indigenous populations often do). However, no country eats off the floor like a dog or cat would.

Dog food
A dog eats in a bowl for its food and a bowl for its water.
I'm not sure but maybe it is sad because the food is gone. But if your dog cries after it just eats a little bit and food is still in the bowl, you should check with a vet.
