Can coca cola rust a penny?
first of all copper will not "rust" but it does tarnish or corrode, turning a green color when it oxidizes. The penny would have to have oxygen as well for this to happen. Coca cola will eat away at the penny because it is very acidic though. Given enough time it will eat all the way down to the zinc inside the penny.
