It is my understanding that they do slip on ice like many other animals.
What helps them though is their wide paws and four legs. They can distribute their weight out on the ice, not causing too much of a push in one direction. They're very stable if they go at a regular pace on a level surface.
If their friction (increased by their weight) gives way, they're toast just like anyone else.
because they grip to the ice with their claws as they walk.
The "Pads" of their paw are in a sort of hollowed out shape, so that they act as suction cups therefore keeping them secure on the ground.
because it is their habitual places,nd due to presences of hair in their body
Because of the fur on their feet.

No, it's the wrong environment for it. A polar bear thrives on the ice, not in the forest.
The 2 types of bears that live on ice is the maybe the grizzly bear and the polar bear
Well they fall asleep for a few months. Then sometime between those months the polar bear will have cubs. They will stay in the cave until spring. Then they will stay for a while longer, then visit the ice flow to hunt! :D
