Acid rain is formed when water vapor condenses in the presence of atmospheric pollution, mainly sulphur dioxide released by the burning of fossil fuels, and converts to a weak sulphuric acid, and then falls as acid rain . When this enters the water system it changes the acid levels in the water , many fish have only a narrow tolerance for a change of acidity levels , if the change goes beyond their level of tolerance their health becomes affected, in many cases their fins start to be eaten away , their gills, which they obtain oxygen with, become inflamed, and the stress this causes , is usually what means a slow death for the fish.
Acid rain is the outcome of Sulphur dioxide gases released into the air by combustion of fossil fuel. Poisonous gases from power stations and vehicles merge with moisture present in the air. This ultimately fall as Acid Rain.
When acid rain falls onto the Earth,it also may fall into rivers or water bodies. The fish may swallow or eat these toxic chemicals and they will fall ill and get contaminated and eventually die. This will affect the fisherman's livelihood as nobody will buy the fish. Also, the food chain will be affected.
Acidification of the water can stress organisms living in those lakes and ponds, making it harder for them to survive. Acidification of the water will accelerate erosion of limestone bedrock under the lakes and ponds.
It makes the water to acidic for the fish to survive so they die.
This is because it changes the PH of the rivers, and makes it more acidic. This damages the wildlife that live there.
As acid rain is acidic in nature it will change the pH of lakes and rivers also which will affect the aquatic life in them
It kills them.
Without rivers and or lakes, life cannot be supported. Without water, there would be absolutely no life on Earth.
Not saltwater fish, but some freshwater animals/fish.
Learnt them when i was small. Acid rain lowers the Ph of the water thus, affecting the aquatic life in it. Sometimes, in Acid rains, aluminium oxide gets mixed with it. As it reaches the fish's gills, a strong acid mixed with aluminium oxide goes in and blocks the fish's gills from any oxygenated water to pass in then out.
acid rain can make water so acidic that many plants and animals no longer live in it
Tsunamis can affect marine life by moving their habitats. For instance, if the water a fish is in move to shore, then the fish will move with it.
"Currents affect fish by bringing in rubbish, dirty water, and other stuff"
yes
by kissing your mom
Acidic surface waters decrease the survivability of animal life in lakes and streams and in the more severe instances eliminate some or all types of fish and other organisms.
it efectted the environment by distroying fish life, drying up lakes, etc
