i don't believe it makes it stop rising.it may just take a bit longer to come up to the boil again because you added a chemical to the water which influences the boiling temperature. Like when you add sugar to water.

different liquids have different boiling points.and essentially you have changed the liquid by adding salt to it.

When water is heated steadily its temperature will stop rising when water starts to?

When water is heated steadily, its temperature will stop rising when it reaches its boiling point and starts to convert into vapor. This process is known as boiling and occurs at a specific temperature depending on air pressure.

What happen to the temperature when the water is heated?

When water is heated, the temperature increases until the boiling point. During the transition from liquid water to gaseous water (steam), the temperature does not change, and the the temperature rises again.

Did salt and sugar affect the boiling temperature of water exactly the same?

yes, but i couldn't tell you the mechanics of it.

How does adding salt to water affect the temperature?

It does not affect the temperature of the water, but solutes raise the boiling point and lower the freezing point.

What happens if you keep adding salt to the water?

Adding salt to water increases the water's boiling point and decreases its freezing point. This makes it boil at a higher temperature and freeze at a lower temperature. Additionally, the salt dissolves in the water and increases its salinity, affecting its taste and buoyancy.

How can you determine if water is boiling?

Water is boiling when it reaches a temperature of 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius) at sea level. You can tell water is boiling by seeing bubbles forming and rising to the surface.

When salt is added to boiling water at 100 degrees Celsius will the water boil faster or slower?

Adding salt to boiling water will actually make the water boil slower. Salt increases the boiling point of water by raising its boiling point temperature. As a result, it will take longer for the water to reach the new, higher boiling point temperature and thus boil.

How does adding salt to water effect how it boils?

Raises the temperature at which the water boilsAdding salt does not make the water boil faster, but makes the water boil at a higher temperature than 100 degrees Celsius. This may allow you to cook food in that water faster than in plain boiling water.

What is the independent variable in this experiment what effect does table salt have on the temperature of boiling water?

The independent variable in this experiment is the amount of table salt added to the boiling water. The effect of adding salt to the water is to raise the boiling point of the water, therefore increasing the temperature at which the water boils.

What is boiling temperature of sallt and sugar if mixed together?

When salt and sugar are mixed together, they do not have a specific boiling temperature as a mixture. The boiling temperature will depend on the concentration of each substance in the mixture. Generally, adding salt or sugar to water will increase the boiling point slightly.

Does Boiling Water increase heat energy?

Boiling water involves converting liquid water to steam by adding heat energy. The heat energy increases the temperature of the water until it reaches its boiling point, at which point the water vaporizes into steam.
