It would depend on the alarm, a steady alarm indicates an engine over heat. If the engine alarm is a series of beeps, this would indicate an oil pump / supply failure.
The warning system on the 1994 model Mercury outboard can be activated by either the low oil sensor, located in the bottom of the oil reservoir, or the overheat sensor, located in the block near the spark plugs. The oil sensor will cause a series of "beeps" while the overheat will sound a continuous tone.
You will probably have to drop the lower end of the outboard. Its sound hard but really it is usually quite simple. The pump is nothing more than rubber impeller on a brass collet.

Fire alarm sound, anbulance siren sound, alarm bell sound and car theft alarm.
voltage drops on a weak battery can cause the alarm to trip. Whenever power is interrupted, even for a short time, the alarm will trigger. Sometimes not right away, but usually after the first drive after the power failure.

There are many alarms clocks that make a 'bleep' sound when the alarm is activated. One such alarm clock is the Casio Compact Battery LED Beep Sound Alarm Clock.
You can personalize the sound of the car alarm but it has to be done in the setup process.
because your impellar is not pumping enough water to the engine to cool down so it's getting to hot, you probably need to change the impeller, even if water comes out it still could be worn mine was pumping water ok but when i took it off to check there was only one flipper left on it.
No sorry! :( oh well i don't like the sound but...
