Blood in the body is constantly moving, and is in liquid form. Any cut you get that bleeds - signals the body to produce platelets - which clump (or clot) together to form a seal over the cut. As the cut heals, the scab falls off - leaving new skin underneath.

there are some blood clotting protiens which on injury(externallly on skin) clots the side from where it starts bleeding inside it can't clot because the blood needs continuos flow inside the body.

because clotts are basicaly to stop anythign getting into your body so if its out side it stops things but on the inside stuff can hit the skin and infect :S
