Blood in the body is constantly moving, and is in liquid form. Any cut you get that bleeds - signals the body to produce platelets - which clump (or clot) together to form a seal over the cut. As the cut heals, the scab falls off - leaving new skin underneath.

∙ 11y agothere are some blood clotting protiens which on injury(externallly on skin) clots the side from where it starts bleeding inside it can't clot because the blood needs continuos flow inside the body.
