I am guessing that you are a girl, and if you are, maybe he just likes to hold you close. I love a hug froms girls and it is not a sexual thing. He's either a flirt and is attracted to you, or he just is affectionate and likes to hug people to say hi, etc.
However, if the hugging makes you uncomfortable, either way, you should ask him to stop with the hugging--maybe do some kind of handshake or other, less intimate form of greeting. A good way to stop someone from hugging you is when they start to come in for a hug place you arm on their shoulder and keep it out straight and give them a kind word. Never forget you can also say to a person that you do not want to hug.
