because it just does because
The Mobile phone battery is made of Li-ion cell. The positive electrode is made up of crystalline mixed oxide such as Li2O.CO2O3 or LiCoO2, which contain Li+ and Co3+ ions occupying the void spaces of oxide (O2-) lattice array. The negative terminal is made of graphite. The electrolyte is a solution of Li salt in organic solvent such as ether. On charging, some Li+ ions from anodic material LiCoO2 comes out of crystal lattice, and in the respective lattice positions Co3+ ions get oxidised to Co4+ and maintains electrical neutrality of the lattice. The Li+ ions produce at anode get migrated to negative graphite electrode through the electrolyte. The Li+ ions get reduced to Li atoms and inserted between the carbon layers of graphite. The Li-ion batteries are allowed to charge only up to 80 %. On discharging the battery Li atoms get converts Li+ and migrate back. If we completely charge, all Li+ ions get migrated from LiCoO2 and get converted to CoO2. Since CoO2 contains no mobile ions it is nonconducting in nature. Thus the battery dies on complete charging. CoO2 is also an explosive material thus there is risk of explosion is also there.
If your cell phone will not charge it could be the battery or the battery charger. You best way to find out is to try the battery charger on a similar phone and see if it charges the other one.

I don't think that charging a cell phone battery every night hurts the battery. It does not matter how long the battery is being charged. The battery is created for specified period of time and then needs to be changed.
A solar cell phone charger is a electrical device, that uses a solar panel to charge a phone battery.
The Motorola Cell Phone Car Charger will allow you to charge your cell phone up to 90% of its battery capacity in a few hours.
No, not safely. It will not charge it, but it may make it explode.
3-4 hours
put it in the fridge
Most batteries today are sealed so a hydrometer is useless. A fully charged battery will read 12.6 volts with a digital volt meter. At 75% charge it will read 12.4 volts, at 50% it will read 12.2 volts and at 25% charge it will read 12 volts. But if you have another type battery then here is what you need to know. A fully charged golf cart battery or fork lift battery will read 1300 A fully charged auto or truck battery will read 1275 A fully charge cell phone tower or solar storage battery will read 1250

The battery brand itself doesn't matter. It depends on how much charge the battery can hold. A good way to improve battery life is to charge it only when your phone is down to the last bar . Don't charge it unnecessary.
It is a cell phone charger that you can take with you. A cell phone charger is what you use to keep your battery from dying. You will need to charge your phone once a week or so.
