I have never noticed a sweet taste with cephalexin. It is actually a very unpleasant tasting antibiotic. It definitely needs to be taken with food. Could the sweetness come from the capsule that it is contained in? Or if in liquid form, it is highly likely that flavoring was added to mask the taste.
