This shouldn't be happening in normal circumstances, as there is nothing to correlate the operations of the PC based upon the CD drive being opened or closed. I've tried to replicate this symptom on my machine at home and am unable to do so.
What happens if you insert a pre-written CD (a music CD for instance) instead? If the "rewriter" were an external part of the PC, there could be some "handshake" issues in the manner of operation, but nothing comes to mind about why the machine would simply shut off just from inserting a disk.
hi if i put any other pre-written CD/ DVD in it plays ok its only when i put a blank disc in CD or DVD , so i can burn a file to disc , it shuts down, if i leave the disc in and try to reboot as soon as the curser comes on, it shuts down, i have to take the disc out to reboot. thank you a w howard.
A writable disk is a disk in which you can write (ie., store) data onto. The majority of diskettes are writable, and so are blank CDs and DVDs. Computer hard drives are generally writable as well.
Copy and paste all of the music files from the music CD into your computer, then insert a blank disk (your computer needs to be able to format CDs and write data onto them). Format the blank disk and copy + paste all of your music files onto the blank CD.
Try this, find another computer and hook the monitor onto it, see if it's blank then. What to do:1) If the monitor is not blank then your other computer probably needs a video driver (need help on this? ask another question and I will try to answer you) ORYour graphics card might be burnt out and you might need to purchase a new one.2) If the monitor is still blank, try to obtain another vga cable(the blue plug thing), if still blank go buy a new monitor**Hope this helps would be able to help you better if i know any previous symptoms or was there next to your computer. Good luck!
You should be able to insert a blank disk into your WinXP machine and have it recognised. It should then be a simple matter of telling your computer what you want to burn on the blank disk. I do not known what Service Pack of XP you have so if the worst comes to the worst you may need to reinstall XP on your computer
Go to windows media player and click rip making sure you have a blank disk in your PC
a computer is to remove power from a computer's main components in a controlled way. After a computer is shut down, main components such as CPUs, RAM modules and hard disk drives are powered down, although some internal components, such as an internal clock, may retain power.
A mass of a computer disk is.
A mass of a computer disk is.
If we don't you might loose the Harddisk. If it is still writing data to the disk the disk might be corrupted. Besides that, your OS is most likely running from it. You might also cause physical damage to the PC itself. Just shutdown your PC and then replace the HDD.
go up to hima dn ask him if you can have a blank disk!
It is not hard at all to duplicate a disk. All you have to do is have a CD writer on your computer, and some blank CDs laying around, then the process can begin.
Shutting down a computer * Saves energy * Lets it cool down * Reduces Disk wear * Gives you a clean slate when it is tuned on again * Stops radiation from leaving the computer * Prevents malfunction when no-one is around.
