One of your door sensors needs to be replaced.
The switch is out of adjustment.

If you are pulling it forward to make the light come on....try pushing outward...
does the light illuminate during start up? If not the lamp is burned out. If it does, then the engine computer is likely at fault.

If you can't get to the rear of the light in the trunk, the light assenbly has to come off.
