Food (glucose and proteins), water, and oxygen are brought into each cell through the blood. Waste products and carbon dioxide are carried out, again through the blood. Without these things, the cell, being stuck in place and unable to go out and forage, will die.

The cells of the body use oxygen as the fuel they need to do their jobs.
Red blood cells also give you color. If your skin is white the red blood cells give you the pink color in your skin. They also give your lips a nice pink color. I'd like for you to meet.

Every cell in our body is specialized to carry out a specific function, and since our body is so complicated, there are a lot of functions that need to be carried out. Because of this, our cells are extremely diverse, from brain and nerve cells that transmit information, to red blood cells that carry oxygen to other cells, to white blood cells that help fight off diseases.
How can you tell a red cell from a white cell i need two differences?
Well the way I look at would be the major color difference between the two blood cells. The next would be the white blood cell fights off foreign entities in your body. While, the red blood cells carry oxygen to the limbs of your body.

What does white blood do?
Red blood cells absorb oxygen from air in the lungs and transport it to every cell (Basic unit of structure) in the body. In other terms, it gives the body oxygen they need from the lungs and gives it to every cell. That's what it basically does. White blood cells fight off infections. They attack and destroy viruses and bacteria that enter the body. I'm only 11! In the 5th grade!!
