Why does everybody pull the race card these days slavery has been gone for a long time and there are thousands if not millions of mixed couples and children so why make skin color an issue?

The race card is only pulled by racists. Not everybody is a racist. Answer: Because it still works. Slavery is not gone. There are still slaves in many countries, it just isn't as open and well-known now.
