Francium is highly reactive in water, so much so that a small vile of it dropped in water will make a bathtub explode. If you would like to see the experiment, you can find it on youtube, but you should not perform it on your own. To answer your question, depending on how much Francium you are using, the answer will be different, but to be safe, you should be several hundred feet away.
