Around the world, it is often agreed that chocolate tastes good, great, amazing. While there is no one right answer to why chocolate tastes so good - it's a matter of opinion, after all - some of the popular reasons are:

  • It's creamy
  • It's sweet
  • It's addictive

It would seem that sugar is a major factor in making chocolate taste so good. In Swiss chocolate, there is lots of chocolate and sugar. There is very little actual cocoa in American chocolate. It's mostly of sugar and oil, two things your tongue absolutely love.
Questions like that are usually answered by opinion, but chocolate is different. There are chemicals in chocolate create a kind of "high." It doesn't really get you high, but the chemicals create a similar effect, without the brain damage. Also, chocolate makes your brain release endorphins, which make you happy.
