because it was a horcrux. it would help to destroy voldemort
Answer: I'm going to guess that you meant R.A.B., but, yes, he did destroy the locket. Harry read it. Answer: No. He had the plan to destroy it, but didn't manage to do so before his death. Nor could his house-elf, who was ordered to destroy it, destroy the locket after the death of R.A.B.
Yes, he does. It was R.A.B(Regulus Acturus Black), who found the locket first. Then he told Kreacher that Kreacher should hide it and destroy it at some time. Unfortunately Mundungus Fletcher stole the locket from Kreacher, and sold it to Dolores Umbridge. Harry, Hermione, and Ron stole the locket from Dolores in the Ministry of Magic.
Well it gets opened and Ron has Gryffindor's sword to destroy it. When it gets opened a tom riddle version of harry and one of Hermione come out and start making out. (ITS NOT REALLY THE REAL HARRY AND HERMIONE!) They do this to distract Ron so he cant destroy the locket. Ron starts to freak out and drop the sword, but the Harry yells: "RON KILL IT!" and Ron finally stabs it. :)
Harry an HERMOINE ... Never make out technically. When harry opens Slytherin's locket which is an hocruxe made by voldemort. Ron is asked to destroy it with Godric's sword. When the locket is opened all of Ron's phobias and fears are shown and thats when he "sees" Harry and hermoine making out Hope this anwer helps :)
Cause he tried to destroy all da Horcruxes so Voldemort was mortal again.
harry didn't kill voldamort, voldamort killed himself. when harry and voldamort sent the spells at one another, the killing curse rebounded off the diarming spell and hit voldamort, because harry was the true master of the elder wand.
Ron
No. He died shortly after retrieving it and gave it to Kreacher to destroy but Kreacher was unable to do so and kept it safe until Mundungus Fletecher stole it. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger tracked it down and Ron eventually destroyed it.
RAB is Regulus Arcturus Black. He's younger brother of Sirius Black. He stole The Slytherin's Locket and ordered Kreacher to destroy it who failed miserably. Then locket was stolen by Mundungus and further taken away by Umbridge. Finally Ron Weasley was able to destroy the horcrux.
Ron sees this when he is trying to destroy the locket/horcux, the locket presents Ron with all the images of his worst nightmares in hopes that Ron won't destroy it.
Anything that has enough magic or power to destroy it. The only examples JK Rowling gave in the books are The Sword of Griffindor, Fiendfyre, and basilisk venom. The only reasong the Sword was ble t destroy Horcruxes was because it had absorbed basilisk venom when Harry killed the asilisk with it. Here is how the seven were killed: Ring - unknown (Dumbledore) Nagini - Sword of Griffindor (Neville) Locket - Sword of Griffindor (Ron) Cup - basilisk fang (Hermione) Diary - basilisk fang (Harry) Diadem - Fiendfyre spell (Crabbe) Harry - Killing Curse (Voldemort) NOTE***: Voldemort unintentionally sealed a porion of his soul nto HArry and when he used the Killing Curse on him, it destroyed the Horcrux and killed Voldemort. The connection between them broke, and Harry never elt he pain in his scr or spoke Parseltongue.
Ron desroyed Salizar Slytherin's locket using the Sword of Griffindor. Snape's doe patronus led Harry to the sword and Ron retrieved the sword while rescuing Harry.
