The resistor has power going to it but, the resistor may be burned out and no power is coming out of it. Check for power at the blower motor connection.
It should be in the heater blower motor case which is located under the glovebox.
No. If you attempt to reduce the voltage to a cap start motor by using a rheostat, you can destroy the motor.
In a Renault Clio, the heater fan rheostat is typically located behind the dashboard, near the blower motor. Accessing it usually requires removing the glove compartment or certain dashboard panels, depending on the specific model year. It's advisable to consult the vehicle's service manual for detailed instructions and diagrams for your particular model.
By varying the Resistance to the motor. These Devices are called RHEOSTAT'S
The heater blower motor shouldn't have a rheostat, perhaps the resistor was meant? If so, it would be on the bottom of the passenger side dashboard, visible from the floor. There should be a 5-wire harness leading to it and it should be retained by two screws. Removal or replacement is as simple as disconnecting the harness, removing the 2 screws, and slipping out the module.
The variable rheostat for the blower motor is shot and needs to be replaced. It's on the firewall, near the heater blower, either in the engine compartment or up under the dash. Follow the wires from the blower switch and you'll find it.
Yes, a trolling motor can be controlled with a rheostat, but it is not the most efficient method. A rheostat can adjust the voltage supplied to the motor, allowing for speed control. However, using a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controller is generally more effective, as it provides better efficiency and performance by reducing heat and power loss. For optimal control and longevity of the motor, a dedicated trolling motor controller is recommended.
Yes you can use a rheostat to control the speed of an ac motor as long as it is correctly sized (power). A better way would be to use a triac control.
hi, the phase two espace,1990-1996 has a rheostat in the heater box, which is uover the top of the engine inside the engine bay.it is removed ria the engine bay and i am told is one heck of a job to get out(approx 3hrs work) mainly because its so fiddely.i need to replace mine but as yet have not done this job.the rhoestat is conveiently located inside the heater box so it must be removed and split into its two halves.oh and there are two types of rheostat and the only way to know which type you need is to remove it first!(cheers renault!)
In a Seat Ibiza, the heater fan rheostat is typically located within the dashboard, near the climate control unit. It can usually be found behind the glove compartment or near the blower motor, depending on the model year. Accessing it may require removing trim pieces or the glove box for easier reach. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for precise location and replacement instructions.
check the blower motor resistor
A Potentiometer, an adjustable resistor, is connected between the power source and the motor. An AC motor would use a Rheostat .
