The chemical formula for hydrogen peroxide is H2O2. When it decomposes, it separates into water and oxygen gas. The reaction takes this form:
2 H2O2 -------> 2H2O + O2
The release of the oxygen gas is what makes the fizzy bubbles.
When you put hydrogen peroxide solution on a wound or in your ears, it saturates the area with oxygen. Bacteria cannot live in this environment, and this is what makes peroxide a good disinfectant. It doesn't really help too much with earwax, though.
It's not your ears that are fizzing, it's the hydrogen peroxide interacting with the wax in your ears, oxidizing it, that's doing the fizzing. Peroxide oxides almost all living cells, including live or dead human cells. That's why it is used as a germicide. earwax is not living, and therefore cannot die. this means that hydrogen peroxide kills no earwax.
you should lay your head flat on one side. then using a eye dropper or medicine dropper get warm water and rinse the inside of your ear. you might even want to use some Hydrogen peroxide. this will help clean it out and get rid of bacteria. (don't worry it wont hurt just tickle a little due to the bubbles it makes in your ear.)then let it sit for 5 mins. turn you head on the opposite side and let the liquid drain out. then lightly dab the ear with a cotton ball.
The middle ear, outer ear, and inner ear are the three parts of the ear.
the ear
Outer ear
External ear contains ear canal.
Nearly every cell in the body produces and enzyme called catalase, which breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen gas, forming bubbles. This enzyme can even be found inside the ear.
Yes, because hydrogen peroxide is used to soften impacted cerumen in the ears.
Hydrogen peroxide can be helpful.
Yes you can although you have to be triple sure that your ear drum is not punctured or burst. You have to consult a doctor to find that out. And be sure you don't have a solid ear wax plug where the hydrogen can wiggle its way behind and with no room left to expand it can damage your earIf you are sure it is not punctured and you don't have an ear wax plug, you can put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ear. This will give you a fizzing sound. After a few minutes take a clean wash cloth and turn your head over to drain the peroxide. Then put some alcohol in the ear to dry it out. Make sure you get out all the peroxide because 'left overs' will make your ears fizz for a long time
Warm Hydrogen Peroxide applied with a dropper will soften ear wax and cleanse inside ear canal. Peroxide should be just warmer than body temp. no more the 102 F.
A doctor told me to mix hydrogen peroxide and glycerin and put a few drops in my ear for a few minutes a day to clear out wax build-up. I don't konw what else it could be for.
Hydrogen Peroxide is a oxidizer and isopropyl alcohol is flamable so when you mix these two the chances of a fire or explosion goes way up. So Yes put it in your ear and write back on how it goes.
I mean, you CAN...nobody is stopping you, lol. But why would you want to? Make sure to clean your ear with HYDROGEN PEROXIDE to help fight the infection. Also, clean your tunnels/plugs in the peroxide.
No, it is not dangerous. Placing rubbing alcohol inside the ear has been a tested remedy for removing water in the ear after swimming. Hydrogen peroxide works better at cleaning out the ear.
No. Try hydrogen peroxide rinse. Boric is a natural roach killer though.
Put some hydrogen peroxide in it and if it doesn't get better go to the doctor.
There are lots of uses for that little brown bottle of hydrogen peroxide. It is cheap, widely available and safe to use for the environment. From washing cloths, to brushing your teeth, gargle like mouthwash, for ear infection the list goes on and onSome alternative therapies suggest to drink little dose of hydrogen peroxide as a source of oxygennote that ONLY food grade hydrogen peroxide is considered safe to use internally.
