The inspired words in the Bible translated into the English, "God," [Old Testament: Elohim; New Testament: Theos] shows God to be a "uni-plural" word -- like the word "family." One family composed of more than one person.
John's chapter 1 reveals that JESUS CHRIST was in the beginning with the Father... before they had the Father and Son relationship that they do today. At that time... Jesus was the WORD [the LOGOS, Spokesman] for the Head of the God Family who would later be called "the Father" after the WORD emptied Himself of His Divine Nature and was born a mortal man.
The WORD of God [Elohim] SPOKE whatever the Head of the God Family commanded Him to say: things like "LET THERE BE LIGHT."
And the WORD of God DID everything God told Him to do: like "...Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness... So God created [the WORD did the creating as God commanded Him to do] man in His own image, in the image of God created He him..." (Gen.1:26-27).
God's creation of the mortal "family structure" among men reveals to those with the eyes to see... God's PURPOSE FOR MANKIND!
The Bible reveals that God [the Father in heaven, the HEAD OF THE GOD FAMILY] IS MAKING BABIES through His special creation, man, created IN HIS OWN IMAGE... just like men have been doing on earth since the beginning:
"...male and female created He them. And God [Elohim] blessed them, and, God [the WORD, Jesus Christ] said unto them, BE FRUITFUL, and MULTIPLY..." (Gen.1:27-28)
Which is EXACTLY what God has been doing [at the SPIRITUAL end of creation] and is still doing to this very day:
"The [Holy] Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD: and if Children, then Heirs; Heirs of God [Theos, the God Family], and Joint-Heirs WITH CHRIST; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may also be GLORIFIED TOGETHER." (Rom.8:16-18)
Contrary to the false doctrine of the "trinity" of God... Jesus reveals that "God" [Theos, the God Family] is presently made up of [TWO]... the Father and Himself:
"I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE." (John 10:30)
He doesn't say: I and My Father and the Holy Spirit are one. It's the Holy Spirt, the Power of God, that binds them and makes them One... just as it is the Holy Spirit of God that makes those whom God is calling to become His Children One.
"...Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given Me, that THEY MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE." (John 17:11)
And the Bible reveals that Jesus is just the FIRST to be born into the IMMORTAL God Family from "mortal flesh." And that MANY BROTHERS will follow:
"For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, that HE MIGHT BE THE FIRSTBORN AMONG MANY BRETHREN [brothers]." (Rom.8:29)
This wonderful "family theme" revealing man's potential is throughout the Bible... yet has been tragically missed by the generations of man... hidden from them... or has simply "not been believed" when read.
God is not "one person"... as God's creation of the human family reveals. The "Smith" family is made up of many people. "John Smith" is the "father"... the "head of the family." He and his wife are ONE in purpose and being, to create, rear and teach their children about God and Life. And his firstborn son... and ALL THE REST OF THEIR CHILDREN are also "Smith." Many, many members of one huge family... and all of them "Smith."
God is a 'Family.' A "growing" family. The WORD [Jesus Christ, Spokesman and Executor] for the Head of the God Family was in the beginning with God. The Head of Elohim gave Him His power to both "speak and act" on His behalf in dealing with man.
When Jesus says: "NO MAN HATH SEEN GOD AT ANY TIME..." (John1:18) -- it means that no man has seen THE FATHER. It has always been Jesus [the WORD] or His angel to whom Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, etc., who saw and/or spoke to God in the beginning.
For not only has no one seen the Father... but: "Ye have neither heard His voice at any time..." (John 5:37). It was also Jesus' voice they heard.
"...I DO NOTHING OF MYSELF; but as My Father hath taught Me, I SPEAK THESE THINGS." (John 8:28)
"For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me Commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His Commandment is Life Everlasting: WHATSOEVER I SPEAK THEREFORE, EVEN AS THE FATHER SAID UNTO ME, SO I SPEAK." (John 12:49-50)
God doesn't change... He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
And so is Jesus' relationship with His Father from the beginning. He has been telling us exactly what His Father has been telling Him to tell us from the beginning. And He has always done what His Father has commanded Him.
It was JESUS CHRIST... the WORD [Spokesman] of God... who was in the beginning, before man was made, who SPOKE the Words of God... and who performed the works of God. And it was Jesus Christ who was and is the Creator God of the Old Testament.
"God [the Father], who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us BY HIS SON, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things [the universe], BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS..." (Heb.1:1-2).
Jesus Christ, the WORD of God, was in the beginning WITHGod [the Father, before He was called Father and before the WORD became His Son]. It was Jesus Christ, the WORD, who said: "Let US make man in OUR image"... just as His future Father, the Head of the Household of the Immortal God Family, Elohim, commanded Him to say.
