Exodus 21:15;17; Leviticus 20:9 tells us that disobedient children will be put to death (Law of Moses) Breaking the fifth commandment was a serious matter. Jesus speaks on Leviticus 20:9 in Mark 7:10.

Today we can see what happens to countries who go soft on raising children. It very much leads to the break down of families. God knew this when He gave the fifth commandment, but just as the Jews did not obey God's laws (Mark 20) we see others countries doing the same today and these nations will face the consequence's.

I am in no way advocating the death penalty on disobedient children, but they do need some restraint.

Well, Judas was the one who turned Jesus in to the Pharisees, so yes, in a way you could say he was "disobedient", though "treasonous" is more like it.

Why did God say Judas Iscariot family would be punished for many generations?

God did not say that. It is nowhere in the Bible, and directly contradicts God's word in Deuteronomy 24:16 Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin; and Jeremiah 31:29-30, "In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eats the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge."
