I smell baby powder after sneezing too! And I'm not sure why!

The reason why sneezes smell like baby powder is because the amount of bacteria and old saliva that was in your mouth sprays into the air as a fine mist or droplet spray when you sneeze.

People then would be able to smell your sneeze by breathing in your saliva which smelled like baby powder and was in the air when you sneezed.

There are several reasons. First, you're breathing a finely ground powder into your nose, which by itself might make you sneeze. The second reason is because the chilly has an irritating chemical called piperine on it. This is the the chemical that makes the chilly spicy, and it makes the powder much more irritating to the inside of your nose. To get rid of the irritation, your body automatically sneezes, which sends a blast of air through your nose in an effort to blow out whatever is inside it.

Can you wear baby power in place of setting power?

Modern baby powder is really cornstarch with fragrance added, and cornstarch is a good cosmetic powder. You COULD use baby powder, but you'll walk around all day smelling like a baby. If one didn't want to smell like a baby all day, they sell cornstarch on the same aisle as the flour and sugar, and it's less expensive to get it that way. Apply it with a fluffy powder brush, or a Kabuki brush.
