Short communication line to ground (with ignition off) and try to start the engine. It should be impossible because PCM is not getting the VTSS message from the BCM. Remove short from line and turn ignition on. With ignition on short communication line again. Done.

If there is no damage, it should work after reconnecting the battery posts. If you didn't do the above situation, I would check for a loose connection on the terminal or a corroded/broken cable. I hope you did not remove a cable from the positive or negative battery posts while the engine was running (don't do it)? If so, it may cause damage to your alternator, and it will short out your ignition in the engine (engine stops). If there is no damage, it should work after reconnecting the battery posts. If you didn't do the above situation, I would check for a loose connection on the terminal or a corroded/broken cable. THe computer may need alittle time to relearn idle.
