Metabolic wastes, particularly nitrogenous wastes that are the by-products of the breakdown of proteins and nucleic acids, are toxic to cells and must therefore be removed quickly. Nitrogenous wastes have the ability to change the ph of cells and interfere with membrane transport functions and also may denature enzymes. :)
the removal of co2 is important for cell functioning because it lowers the pH of solution in which it is dissolved therefore affecting enzyme functioning and possible the shape of hemoglobin molecules.this causes decrease in oxygen saturation.both of are undesirable conditions thus necessary for the removal of co2/metabolic waste from living cells to ensure correct cellular process
metabolic waste is toxic to cell and its function
Do you realize how big your body would be if you do not empty your body waste. Also, the body would release poison to kill you if you do not remove body waste. Would you really want to keep body waste inside of you?
Waste products are substance not needed by the body or in excess in the body. If these were not removed, some are toxic and would eventually poison the body (e.g. hydrogen peroxide). Others, would disturb the balance (homeostasis) that the body requires to function properly (e.g. if carbon dioxide were not expelled, it would decrease the pH/increase the acidity of the blood in the body).
Because it is impossible to store them.
Yes, but why? Metabolic wastes can't be stored, true, but the reason is that they are poisonous to the cell and eventually to the entire body if they are not metabolized and excreted. For example, nitrogenous wastes (urea) are filtered out by the kidneys. If someone is on dialysis, he can only go 3 days without having his blood artificially filtered because the buildup of urea (uric acids) will soon poison the entire body.
Carbon dioxide must be exhaled from the lungs, because a buildup of CO2 in the blood would block the ability of the blood to carry enough oxygen to the cells, and the cells would begin to die.
Our livers also metabolize many substances, including alcohol, which would be toxic to the body if allowed to build up in the cells. Alcohol is so toxic that the liver can become hard and begin to lose its function (cirrhosis) if a person is an alcoholic and puts too much alcohol into the blood on a regular basis for the liver to metabolize properly.
There is more, but I think you get the idea. Metabolic wastes means just that; these are toxic byproducts of cellular respiration and other metabolic processes within the cells, and they must be excreted in one way or another so that the cells of the body remain healthy, functional and are not poisoned by buildup of these waste products.
That is intelligent question! The cell metabolites are carbon bi oxide and nitrogenous waste products. The carbon bi oxide reduce the pH of the blood. Your body pH has to be maintained in very narrow range. Why this is so is not clear to me. But low pH is very powerful stimulant for the respiration. It is relatively very easy to clear the extra carbon bi oxide. The nitrogenous waste products are very toxic to the brain. Body spends lot of blood supply and energy to remove the nitrogenous waste products.
becoz they maintain the whole system of body
Generally speaking, the waste gets in the way of important reactions (that's why the waste has to be removed).
The metabolic waste products of the body are carried to the kidneys by the blood.
Your lungs wash out the carbon bi oxide. It is a metabolic waste of biological oxidation process.
excretion
The organism will be poisoned. --------------------------------------- True, for instance someone with renal (kidney) failure will die without dialysis or a kidney transplant - (the kidneys remove metabolic waste from the blood).
Cellular waste is carried from the cell by blood and filtered into the bladder by the kidneys. Solid waste is removed by the intestines.
Carbon di Oxide is the metabolic waste excreted out from our body through mouth.
The metabolic waste products of the body are carried to the kidneys by the blood.
The pathway of metabolic waste from the aorta to the outside of the body of a fetal pig begins in the aorta. The abdominal aorta, renal arteries, and bladder excrete the waste to the outside of the fetal body.
Your lungs wash out the carbon bi oxide. It is a metabolic waste of biological oxidation process.
Most of the metabolic waste is removed by the excretory system. This system comprises of kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder and urethra. Large molecules are excreted by your liver through biliary system. Your lungs excrete the carbon bi oxide and few other volatile drugs like used in anaesthesia. Then your skin excrete some toxic substances.
Nephridia
excretion
Two ways that liquid waste is removed from your body... sweating and urination
If you do not excrete waste products, your body gets poisoned by all the metabolic toxins. This will cause the kidneys, and other organs, to stop functioning. If it continues, you die.
Metabolic waste is made up of substances that the body cannot use for energy. It consists of urine and feces that are excreted, and carbon dioxide, which is exhaled through the nose and mouth.
excretion of body waste is important because body cells produce toxic waste which has to be removed from the body .it is important because elimination by an organism of waste products that result from metabolic process. If you do not excrete waste products, your body gets poisoned by all the metabolic toxins. This will cause the kidneys, and other organs, to stop functioning. If it continues, you will die.
The Kidney. After the kidney has removed these wastes from the blood, what is left behind is a mixture of metabolic waste and water called urine.
