Why does my 1997 Lincoln Mark viii slowly over heat The gauge rises at a normal rate as the car warms up but it doesn't stop just goes up 15 Minutes or so of driving it overheats?

Did you do or have someone do something with the radiator system, if yes then the system isn't burped right. You have to remove the bolt in the front top of the intake manifold and keep filling to the top while squeezing the radiator hose to get the air bubbles out etc.

It could be the fan switch mounted on the n/s of the radiator. Easy job, but if you've overheated the engine there may be further problems. Phil
