blown head gasket or even worse, a cracked head or two.. try filling radiator with fluid, then start it up. there should be a pressure relief valve on top of where you replaced the thermostat. crack it till it bleeds all air off, then there should be only fluid. gradually fill your radiator with fluid during this process. if water is spitting out of the fill hole, it's a cracked head
You need to add water to the radiator, it may be low and you will overheat your motor.
If the AC is Blowing cold and turn off and on, the AC/heater control switch is bad. Replace it on eBay for around fifty dollars. Work great now.

The high idle may be caused by old spark plugs and wires. As far as the temperature problem there are several things that may cause this, but the thermostat is the easiest and cheapest thing to check.
Check the coolant fan see if it turns on when the engine gets hot. if not then your temp sensor could be bad

Turn on the TV, Adjust the thermostat.
Look at your radiator. Find the upper hose. Follow it towards the engine. At the end will be your thermostat housing. Guess whats inside?

190 It is dependent on what thermostat you have in your engine. The engine will normally run hotter than the temp the thermostat opens at.
There could be a switch that has gone bad in the headlight. The entire assembly will more then likely need to be replaced.
