Why does my 2000 4x4 Tacoma feel like the brakes are being pressed when turning somewhat sharply at slow speed in 4 wheel drive. It bucks a bit as well. Is this normal?

If you are driving in 4 wheel drive on a dry pavement this can occur. It is wise not to use 4 wheel drive while on dry roads. If you have those symptoms while driving off road or in snow you may have a CV joint going bad.
