I can't tell why but "I" would start by changing the Transaxle fluid & filter and then see what happens.....
water and transmission fluid are mixing. that's what it seems to be.
It Seems like you may have a fuel sending unit problem
No , on the 1996 Ford Thunderbird , the 4.6 liter V8 engine is : The 8th " character " of the VIN is a " W " ( which means the engine was manufactured in ROMEO , Michigan ) It seems backwards to me that " 6 " indicates the 4.6 liter V8 manufactured in Windsor , Ontario , Canada and that " W " is the 4.6 liter V8 , Romeo , Michigan engine , but that's the way Ford has it
it is a manual transmission
I would first look for a vacuum leak.
That's the " Windsor " 4.6 liter V8 ( engine VIN code " 6 " in a 1997 Ford F-150 ) It seems backwards to me because the " Romeo " engine has engine VIN code " W "
1992 Accord EX 2.2 liter, should be the same though. 54lbs..seems a bit much for an aluminum block but its correct.
its run on road for 5 min then rpm fluctuates and quit, seems when engine is warmed...and will not restart till cool down.
AC Delco 78DT6YR seems appropriate for your car...
It is probably the lifters. I would try some oil addative for sticking lifters and let it stay in there for a couple of weeks and see if that helps. low on oil? until the oil is warmed up enough to flow freely it could make that noise if low on oil. a 2004? i'd take it back to the dealer, that is to new to have ANY problems. good luck TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, IF IT'S A 3.4L AND THEY TELL YOU IT'S NORMAL COLD START PISTON SLAP, THAT'S WHAT IT IS. THEY ALL DO IT. IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL, OTHER THAN INTAKE GASKETS, IT'S A VERY DEPENDABLE ENGINE.
The 2.4 liter 4 cylinder in a 2003 Jeep Liberty is not an interference engine , so if the timing belt breaks the engine will stop running , but the engine will not be destroyed Seems not to be true. I have been looking into this all day and everything points to it being an interference engine. Sorry
