Why does my Razer Taipan mouse keep skipping the cursor to the edge of screen on start up and it doesn't seem to register that it is connected through Synapse 2.0 on startup?

I had this problem with my last Taipan that I bought in December, 2012.
Contacted support and they got me a new one, but, now, I think it may be happening again. Not sure.
