They will then hinge with a bit of force Depends which Laguna, The Laguna11 is fitted with Veleo wipers which have a long slot in them as you can only lift them away from the screen about 6 inches.

Hi there ,we had the same problem with our 2000 plate espace 3.0 24v auto,there is no dipstick on the gearbox the only way to change the transmission fluid on your laguna is to take it to the maindealers :-( reason being it must go on their machine to suck out "as they say"the old oil,then the replace it with new oil with their machine.Our bill was £59 hope this helps.
