A car might stall when shifting from park to reverse if the idle is set too low. It is also possible that the engine stalls because it is not fully warmed up before shifting from park to reverse.
crank sensor is bad... when it gets warmed up... it'll send bad data to the spark device and will stall out
well you should let it warm up for a minute I know my dirt bike will stall if I don't let it warm up but cars not so much
ignition module bad shorting out when hot

Does it stall when first started or ONLY once the car has warmed up ? After it stalls will it start right up again ? or does the car need to cool down before it will restart ?
because if you stop immediately then the car will stall.
as a rule the car backing up is more responcible cause they should be being a lot more carefull and watchfull
if you have a cracked distributor cap then water would get inside it and make your car stall.
There are a few reasons why a car might stall when cold. The car might just be stiff from the cold weather.
No, it would not. There are many things that could cause a stall at idle. The throttle plate could be dirty as well as the mass air flow sensor. You did not mention the kind of car or engine size. Is the check engine light on, is it when the engine is warmed up or cold?
