There are a few possible reasons. If you really mean "on" the screen, not "in" the screen, it could be something pressing against it - such as a plastic keyboard protector "skin" if your screen closes tight against your keyboard. Any screen cleaner will remove it, though you'll have to repeat the process periodically. If it's in the screen itself, the most likely cause is failure of the control circuits for that row of pixels. (Each row has a control circuit, as does each column; the row and column control circuits cooperate to set the three color intensities of each pixel.) There is no inexpensive fix for this. If your laptop is under warranty, its manufacturer should fix it for you. If not, the cost will vary with the computer but it won't be cheap. If that's a concern, your best bet might be to find another computer of the same type that died for an unrelated reason, buy it for parts salvage value, and pay a service facility to swap the screens.
This is well known issue with many iMacs G5 and Intel based. It is probably a defect in design. See the following link for a possible law suit against Apple.

A blank line in the laptop screen is a malfunction of the pixels on that line. This can be caused by circuit imperfections or damage, mainly the integrated circuitry which acts as the driver for that particular line. Sometimes gently rubbing the sides of the lines reconnects the circuits but it is not a long term replacement strategy.
There are many reasons, but the most common of them all is the refresh rate. usually the best refresh rate is 59-60Hz.
A glitch or it is probably not responding/fast enough
Because you dont have the correct video drivers. To find the get the name of your mother and or graphics card and go to there website. You can usually find them in the support section ....
I wound up throwing mine away. But that is just me.
This can be due to an unregistered dock. If your laptop doesn't register it's dock to the docking station it will affect the color settings on monitor. To fix just undock laptop, restart it, let it boot to logon prompt, dock it, then log on.
Punching it.

ULine and 3M both offer a line of products designed to clean the screens of your laptop or computer monitor. Both CNET and PC Mag rate the ULine and 3M products well for effectiveness.
If the line is constant then it is probably a hardware problem that requires repair. If the line changes or goes away when you change the screen resolution for the desktop then you can probably fix the problem through software.
Im not sure but i think its the battery. If the laptops not plugged into the charger I think itll blink.
On line Mode - Is when your laptop is connected to the internet which works Spotify. Offline Mode - Is when your laptop loses connection to the Internet which causes Spotify to not work.`
No, you cant. While laptops often have ways to output video via VGA or S-video ports, they lack a way to input video. Edit- The real answer is "It depends" I can use my laptop as a monitor-- It has a HDMI port on it. Actaully, I practice this quite frequently. Laptops with a legacy s-video or a HDMI port have the capability of being used in the manner, but sometimes the hardware doesn't support it. You're on your own for this one.
It is not repairable. You may replace yourself using some on-line guide. It is easy

Try to find third-party companies on the market that are selling laptop screens since most laptop manufacturers charge so much. It could be in a range $100-200 depending on model for Sony screen. You should be able to replace the screen yourself (it is easy even if you are not a technical person - use some on-line guide).
