He's keeping you on a tight rein because he wants his cake and eat it too. He wants to see whom he pleases, yet wants to hang out with you so he know what you are up too at all times (involving who you see or date.) Tell him to take a hike! This guy isn't for you. If you allow this behavior you will never be free to meet the right type of guy for you.
