It is most likely a "Makers-mark". It is a mark put on the chain to show who made the piece of jewelry. It will have a 10k 14k or 18k beside it if it is gold.
i dont know but i have recently purchased a gold necklace but it is wot they called real filled gold its a mixture of gold and copper and this item has the letters J.H stamped on it . so it could be just real filled gold and that means it aint real so not worth much
925 is a proof mark for silver. Sometimes silver is gold plated, but the presence of a 925 mark indicates it is made largely of silver.
multiply the chain's gold content by the price of one gram of 14K gold. For example, if the price is $31.60, the value of the chain's gold is $110.54. To estimate the 14K gold chain price, mark down the piece's index price by 20-30%.
i have one ring and is mark inside 777 what hi means ,is platinum?
Take it to a local jeweler if you don't want to put makeup on you line the chain up end and end put it on your face for about five minutes if there is a balck mark on your face if there isn't its fool gold
I've a gold chain necklace, quite heavy, it has markings on it 'FL - 18K' what does this mean? can anyone help. Many Thanks
If I read your question correctly the bracelet is made from Italian lire coins and the chain is 10K. If these are real Lire the coins they are not gold, but that they could be set in a 10K coin holder to hold them to the chain. Often when coins are used in jewelry they are placed inside a frame/holder. My guess is that what you have.
10 K means 41.7 % gold , so this chain contains 81.92 grams of gold, provided all 196.6 grams of its weight are solid 10K gold. The price of gold varies but is now about $43 per gram, so the gold in this chain is worth about $3500. The retail price would depend on the workmanship involved in making the chain and the dealer's mark-up which is usually quite high for jewelry.
A gold cross chain can range anywhere from one to three thousand dollars. The price of the chain varies depending on if it is real gold, the quality of the gold, and on who manufactured and sold the chain.
what does sp mean on a gold chain
