I'm not sure about this but I think it might be because it wants to live in a no poop area. Some ways to prevent it is to line the base of the cage with food wrap if your whole cage has no bars (non- barred are better for your hamster than barred ones) or you can put the cage on top of newspapers or something like it so that when the poop drops you could just throw the whole newspaper away also another way is to potty train your hamster or provide it a bathroom area that is a tube connecting to another place (the other place in that sentence should be the restroom area) Don't put the restroom area where it sleeps because it wont "go" there and it will just continue to push its poop out. Any Questions that you have just perform a simple Google search.
It is either scared of the area or it just will, sometimes hamsters poop without knowing. But dont worry, just remember to always clean the ball, because the hamster will not move in the ball otherwise.
Because you haven't 'trained' it. It is very easy to accustom a hamster to using its toilet corner before you bring it out of the cage. Place the hamster near the place it has chosen as a toilet area, and it will usually do its business straight away. Then you can handle the hamster without it doing anything on you.
A hamster poops alot since it may be scared or you might be squeezing it to hard or to much.
because sometimes the food is too big, or they might not like it
Maybe because it could be a bit overweight or might have a little upset tummy. if it continues.... I would recommend taking it the Vet.
Hamsters are storage creatures, like squirrels, and store their food in places they know. All animals sometimes eat their waste as a way to survive. So maybe it isn't food they're eating!
I have had that problem for years. Until I learned how to potty train them. Click on the link below.
Depending on the cage, some of the cleverer ones figure out how to open the door, or push out their foodbowls and leave through the small entrance.
get rid of the hamster or buy a cage for it!!
You don't know if it needs to poop or not. All I know is if you have a tray in the cage, It will do it thing on its own. Hope this helps;D Aubree8327
The best kind of cage you can get for your hamster is a wire cage with a plastic bottom. It is well ventilated and the hamster can climb.
you should. the hamster may be gone but the cage will start to stink.
Buy it a bigger and better cage or get it a hamster ball.
buy a hamster cage then buy food and water then click on the cage then it should say get hamster or fill cage or somthing like that
Sanitize the cage and get new bedding and the cage is good as new!
an alarm cage
I have one. It's not the hamster. It's the cage. The smell of wood chips, urine and poop don't smell too good. But it's far from intolerable. As long as you keep the cage nice and clean, you won't have a smelly hamster. Hamsters, guinea pigs anything like that doesn't like to live in a dirty cage.
You should clean your hamster's cage every couple of days. PetProductsByRoyal.com
