Why does my jailbroken ipod touch keep turning on and off repeatedly every 7 seconds and is there any way to fix it and also my computer wont recognize it?

basically just wait for it to turn off(run out of battery) then plug it into the computer and in redsnow reboot it by putting it in DFU mode
