It sounds like the cable has become loose. Try plugging it back in. If that doesn't help, then the cable itself may have become faulty, it may need to be replaced. Another possibility is the video card may have worn out and needs to be replaced. Another possibilty is that a button on the monitor may have been accidently pressed.
This means that the monitor is not detecting any video signal coming from the computer. This can be caused by a number of things such as a loose cable, bad video port on either the monitor or the computer motherboard (or discrete video card), bad video cable, the computer is turned off, the video port you are trying to use is disabled or otherwise not functional, etc. If you happen to be using a Keyboard/Video/Mouse (abbreviated to KVM) switch, then you could have the switch set to the wrong port to see the video output of the computer in question. You might also have the monitor set to look for video from the computer on the wrong cable (for example, you are using a DVI cable between the computer and the monitor but you have selected VGA as the input source that the monitor expects).
If you are unsure how to verify each of these factors, get in touch with a local computer repair service and see if they can provide you some assistance. If you happen to be in the northeast Kansas area, feel free to drop me a line and I will be glad to have my store provide you assistance.
Usually a no signal message means that the video card is not detecting the monitor. An easy way to fix this is to download the latest drivers for your video card and it should detect the monitor.
Check your cord from the computer and monitor. If that is ok check your video card.
No.
Modulating Signal,
Defective monitor, I have one that does the same thing, I opened it up, looked at the control board, one of the IC's is shorting the red analog line to ground. Was not able to fix.
Make sure your VGA cable is completely connected. Make sure it is pushed and screwed in tight (not too tight).
electricity and a signal
If the CPU is running, but the monitor has no signal, there could be an issue with the cable that connects the CPU to the monitor. There could also be a problem with the VGA card, or the RAM.

Check the cable running from your monitor to your computer. It could be disconnected, loose, or be a bad cable. If you decide it is not the cable then it could either be a bad monitor or a bad graphics card.
you don't. you replace it.
