You could well have caught Whooping Cough, or 'Pertussis'. You should see a doctor quickly as this disease can often kill.
Pertussis cases are on the rise because the health community thought it was eliminated, and dropped it from the DTP vaccinations, and giving just the DT shots.

I started using cold fx extra strength yesterday night - my throat still feels scratchy and I am still coughing the next day but I am able to function, not sure if it would be worse if I hadn't have taken it. Guess I'll see how I feel tomorrow
